Hi, I'm Lori!

I'm a National Board-Certified Health Coach, Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and Wellness Educator. With degrees in Psychology and Business, I'm also a Reiki Master and a 200-hour Certified Yoga Instructor. I created Mindful Health in 2015 to support women over 40 in their journey toward better health and happiness through clean eating and self-care. As a mom to two amazing adult daughters, Brooke and Shannon, and sharing my life with my love, Mark, I understand the importance of balancing health and family.

My Journey to Health

For most of my life, I followed the Standard American Diet (SAD). My meals were filled with sugary cereals, diet sodas, fast food, and processed snacks. I was addicted to Diet Coke and excelled at cooking frozen pizza for the family. In 2012, a severe bicycle accident changed my life forever. With a Traumatic Brain Injury, I was unable to continue my career and faced daily headaches, fatigue, depression, and anxiety.

Seeking to heal, I worked with a health coach and transformed my diet and mindset. I started practicing yoga and meditation, and my health began to improve. I learned to cook with fresh, whole foods and prioritized self-care. This journey led me to heal myself and realize the power of holistic wellness!

Why I Became a Health Coach

Inspired by my own transformation, I became a full-time health coach in 2015 after graduating from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. In 2024, I pursued further education to deepen my understanding of behavior change, empowering me to better support my clients. Helping others is my life's purpose; it's not just a career for me. My mission to empower others, born out of personal adversity, now serves as my guiding light, turning my past obstacles into stepping stones for others on their journey to wellness. My approach combines positive psychology, motivational interviewing, SMART goal setting, and more to guide you on your unique health journey. Together, we will eliminate negativity, nurture your body with clean food, and develop energy, confidence, and a spirit of gratitude.

The goal isn't for me to direct but to evoke those 'a-ha' moments that bring about real change.
